Job Description

 

Avidyne is seeking a highly motivated Avionics Technician to join our avionics manufacturing and development team. We are establishing an on-site avionics training course and plan to model it after the Swiss Apprenticeship system. The ideal candidate will have completed such an apprenticeship, bring a strong technical foundation in aircraft electrical and electronic systems, flight decks and aircraft installs, combined with a passion for continuous training others, learning and professional development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with advanced avionics systems while contributing to the establishment of our technical training facilities and maintenance culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft electrical and electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and testing of avionics components using specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals in multiple languages.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate technical records according to aviation authority requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of our technical training program, drawing from Swiss apprenticeship experience.
  • Assist in establishing standardized maintenance procedures and best practices.

 


Required Skills

Required Qualifications

 

  • Completed Swiss apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance with specialization in Avionics/Electronics.
  • Strong foundation in aircraft electrical systems, electronics, and digital technology.
  • Proficiency in technical English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Experience with modern avionics systems and test equipment.
  • Understanding of FAA and EASA regulations and maintenance documentation requirements.

Desired Skills and Attributes

 

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Passion for technical education and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Federal certification as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
  • Initiative to drive improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and development purposes.
EASA or FAA pilot’s license.
