Position Overview
The Fashion Design Intern will support the development of sustainable activewear collections, focusing on material research, product development, and design execution.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clean silhouettes, functional details, and thoughtful design — and who wants hands-on experience with technical sportswear and eco-conscious fabric innovation.
You will participate in the full cycle of product creation: concept → material → design → sample → fittings → refinement.
[Key Responsibilities]
Design DevelopmentAssist with sketches, concept boards, color/material references, and seasonal mood directions.
Help prepare and update tech packs, measurement sheets, and detail drawings.
Research trends in activewear, athleisure, and sustainable materials.
Support fabric sourcing, including recycled nylon, bio-based materials, and functional membranes.
Organize swatches, lab dips, and fabric libraries.
Prepare comparison summaries on texture, weight, stretch, and performance properties.
Assist with fittings, take notes on corrections, and follow up with pattern makers or vendors.
Help manage sample tracking, labeling, and organization.
Prepare product information for development and manufacturing partners.
Ensure designs follow Positive Me’s brand identity — minimal, functional, and environmentally conscious.
Support lookbook styling, content preparation, or photoshoot logistics when needed.
Participate in creative discussions for new product categories or improvements.
Direct experience in sustainable performance-wear development.
Exposure to functional fabrics, recycled materials, and technical production processes.
Hands-on learning with fittings, samples, pattern revisions, and tech packs.
Collaboration with founders and opportunity to influence real product decisions.
A meaningful portfolio of sustainable activewear work.
