Job Description

As a Videography and Editor Intern at Meiji Academy you would support the Media and Marketing team by creating visual content by filming, organizing footage, and editing, usually focusing on social media, marketing, or promotional projects.

Key tasks include producing rough cuts, adding audio/graphics, maintaining equipment, managing media assets, and applying feedback to produce final, high-quality video content as well as editing the content.

Main responsibilities:
  • Assist with camera setup, lighting adjustment, audio recording, and capturing video content on-site.
  • Capture interview footage, or event highlights of students and influencers, producing short-form content for social media
  • Import, log, and organize footage; cutting raw footage into cohesive, engaging narratives for YouTube and social media.
  • Create short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) from long-form content
  • Edit raw footage and create engaging video content

Required Skills

  • Creativity, strong communication skills, and a good command of language
  • Strong English skills, no Japanese knowledge required
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite or other video and photo editing tools is an advantage
  • Experience with filming or editing videos for social media or other outlets is an advantage
