Job Description

- Ensure timely & effective completion of assigned synthesis and purification work.
- Execute of day-to-day synthesis work, systematic documentation of synthetic procedures in appropriate report format (e.g., Lab Notebook, Project - Files, MPR), observation and characterization of QC analysis.
- Communicate results to supervisors/team leader and maintains all parameters as required in a shift and records all observations during shift.
- Planning and Intern will be responsible for deliveries on high quality products within the committed timelines and candidate should have troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Interpret analytical results of molecules independently and propose plausible mechanism for synthesis routes. Chromatographic analysis follow-ups with QC, understand and comply with SOPs and policies. Take part in team technical discussion and learn effective collaborative communication.  
- Train in technical writing skills & other similar documentation for scientists. 
- Maintain laboratory and inventory records, learn proper utilization of state-of-art laboratory techniques. Maintain equipment calibration and preventative maintenance. Perform routine assays and provide test results on an established deadline. Involve and taking part actively LNB and safety audits and safety vigilance walk.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized lab area, and potentially assume responsibility.

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and analytical chemistry with basic good hands-on laboratory skills.
  • Excellent understanding & passion for safe work procedures & practices.
  • Good computer skill (MS office, chemdraw and other advanced digital tools) & exposure to basic Laboratory Information Management System (MSDS, chemistry web search).
  • Good interpersonal skill (communication & presentation)
  • Be able to communicate results of lab work to team lead appropriately and timely.
