- Legacy myo-electric (robotic) prosthetic hands cost USD 25K~ 100K.
: because of its high cost, they are used only for 0.1% of upper-limb amputees
- Mand.ro started a project to enable affordable, fully-functional prosthetic hands since in January 2015, and developed a full-stack of technology from sensors, electronics, mechanical designs, and also a process of customization for each individual amputee.
- Mand.ro launched the first product at a price of smartphone (< USD 1K) in July 2016 and served more than 1000 amputees in Korea and Middle east.
- Recently received the ‘Best of Innovation’ Award at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2024, and again received the ‘Innovation Award’ at CES 2026.

No one can have all the skills, but we need at least one of below:
Basic Understanding of 3D CAD Modeling
Basic Understanding Electrical Engineering (or Soldering)

Basic Understanding of C Programming Language and Experience
